NewHub Update

August, 2021

Version 3.1, first offered on August 31th, 2021

As always, we’ve listened to our customers and partners to prioritize NewHub’s new features. The second release of the year brings important news and improvements, such as:

New


  • Favorites: End users can now bookmark apps, sheets, mashups, or any other content directly on NewHub’s main menu

  • Home cards with “Drag & Drop” resizing and sorting: Home cards can now be freely sorted. Each user can resize or reorder cards to their liking, by drag’n dropping these contents

  • Single session: the same user can apply different filters simultaneously on different browser tabs without loosing a previous selection

  • Ready for different languages: English, Portuguese and Spanish

  • Export objects to PDF and Excel inside “Cluster App” mode

  • Categorized filters

  • “Dark mode” theme for the “Cluster App” mode
  • Users can now navigate on mobile devices smoothly inside a Qlik Sense App (charts and objects doesn’t interfere anymore on the scroll of the page)
  • “Custom links” can now be opened in new tab

  • NewHub Admin panel improvements
  • “Overall card” option deprecated / removed

Fixes


  • Several improvements and fixes, such as: “External Links” not opening inside NewHub (embedded), “loading” image appearing in some cases when the user was not allowed to see the QVF, loading performance improvements, etc.

NewHub Update

February, 2021

Version 3.0, first offered on February 25th, 2021

Some major upgrades in store with NewHub 3.0. You talked, we listened! With this version you will see native QS apps under a new pespective (without having to build Mashups!), and display any QS chart on the homepage without having to open the apps themselves

  • Features an automatic redesign of native QS apps via the new “Cluster App” skin. This feature changes the whole interface of native apps without having to build a mashup

  • Displays any Qlik Sense chart or extension directly on the home page, without users having to open each panel individually

  • NewHub has been made ready to deploy on QAP servers

  • Multilingual support

  • Ability to order content on the menu sidebar (apps, mashups and links) – not just an alphabetical listing anymore

  • Favicon configuration via Admin Panel

NewHub Update

September, 2020

Version 2.4, first offered on September 3rd, 2020

It’s go-time for version 2.4. Get excited with some of the most forward-thinking updates for 2020, including line and Barcharts at a glance and a unique CSS editor to lift NewHub’s appearance.

  • Ability to include barcharts and linecharts on the Home Page Cards of NewHub
  • List multiple sheets from the same QVF in the navigation menu
  • Unique CSS Editor on the Admin Panel
  • Ability to include custom links (to CRM’s or third party content) within Newhub’s navigation context

Updates


  • Admin Panel content management section gets UX improvement for linking apps, mashups and links
  • Admin Panel main navigation gets small overhaul for better readability

Fixes


  • Major database restructure for enhanced data security
  • Fixed known issue where linking individual sheets inside a QVF was not behaving properly in some Qlik environments

NewHub Update

May, 2020

Version 2.38, first offered on May 28, 2020

Ready for version 2.38! We are incorporating a number of layout improvements, including a new standard skin option, the ability to open apps and Mashups in Full Screen and options to load cards in a mosaic view.

NewHub Update

February, 2020

Version 2.3, first offered on February 3, 2020

The Newhub software suite now offers an intuitive configuration tab in the Admin panel to manage layout customizations. It also offers the ability to load custom Mashups on the homepage, instead of the default NewHub landing page.

New


  • Migrated the config file (in javascript) from the Dev-Hub to the Admin Panel (no programming knowledge required any longer for custom configurations)
  • Option to load a custom Mashup on the homepage that replaces the default landing page, with the ability for it to show only for selected streams (this was previously achieved via roles only).
  • Ability to activates or deactivate the app search bar, or show it only when the user is on the homepage
  • Removed the support custom page, moving this to the feature that allows inclusion of custom links
  • Ability to remove users from the NewHub Admin panel

  • Navigation bar and Activity bar behaviour can be customized via checkbox 
  • External links are no longer editable via Dev-Hub, but via de Admin Panel, with added ability to show them to certain streams
  • Changed layout positions for the “change alias” and “uninstall” buttons
  • Included a “ChangeLog” channel documenting chronological NewHub updates

NewHub Update

Version 2.1, first offered on November 27, 2019

The software suite gains a new stand-alone administration panel that streamlines the installation and configuration process for NewHub. No more QMC after initial installation.

New


  •     Ability to rename custom properties without losing association (a Qlik Engine core issue we have been able to bypass)
  •     Ordering groups and subgroups
  •     Ability to change NewHub’s extension name
  •     Ability to bring KPIs that have been configured in Mashups upfront at the main Dashboard

  •    All updates made intuitive via the custom-made NewHubAdmin (it runs just like a regular Qlik extension)
